Mizan Zainal Abidin is the 18^th and current Sultan of Terengganu. He was born on January 22, 1962, and was crowned as the 18^th Sultan of Terengganu on March 4, 1999. Mizan Zainal Abidin also served as the 13^th Yang di-Pertuan Agong from December 3, 2006 to December 12, 2011.

Sultan of Terengganu's Birthday is the official birthday of the rule instead of the actual one. Although Mizan Zainal Abidin served as the 13th Yang di-Pertuan Agong from December 3, 2006, he was formally installed on April 26, 2007, and Sultan of Terengganu's Birthday coincides with the anniversary of his installation.
