Arafat Day

Arafat Day, also known as the Day of Hajj, is an important holiday celebrated by Muslims, and it is observed on the 9th day of Dhu al-Hijjah of the lunar Islamic Calendar. It is the second day of the Hajj pilgrimage.

Arafat Day is the holiest day in the Islamic calendar, and it is the day before the major Islamic holiday of Eid al-Adha. Arafat Day commemorates Muhammad's Farewell Sermon and the completion of the message of Islam.

Mount Arafah is a granite hill southeast of Mecca in the plain of Arafah, and it is at this place where Prophet Muhammad delivered the Farewell Sermon to the Muslims.

Pilgrims arrive at Arafah before noon during the holiday to seek mercy from God, while non-pilgrims are recommended to fast.
