Statehood Day is a public holiday in Croatia, observed on May 30 each year.
Statehood Day celebrates the constitution of the first modern multi-party Croatian Parliament in 1990 following the parliamentary election, which was the first free, multi-party election held in Croatia since 1938.
The holiday was first celebrated on May 30 from 1990 to 2002 and moved to June 25 in 2002 to celebrate the declaration of independence from the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia in June 1991. The Croatian Parliament moved Statehood Day back to May 30 in November 2019.
