Corpus Christi, also known as Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, is a religious festival celebrated by the Christians, and it is usually observed on Thursday after Trinity Sunday.
Corpus Christi celebrates the real presence of the body and blood, soul and divinity of Jesus Christ in the elements of the Eucharist. Corpus Christi was first celebrated as a feast in 1246, but only in the 15th century, Corpus Christi became one of the important feasts in churches.
It is a public holiday in countries with a predominantly Catholic population such as Austria, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Israel etc.
