Whit Sunday: 2020 to 2030

Whit Sunday, also known as Pentecost, is an important Christian festival commemorating the descent of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost. It is celebrated on the seventh Sunday or 49 days after Easter Sunday.

Most Western churches follow the Gregorian Calendar, while Eastern Orthodox churches follow the Julian Calendar. Eastern Orthodox Whit Sunday in Julian Calendar corresponds to a later date comparing Western Whit Sunday in Gregorian calendar. Therefore, East Orthodox churches normally have Whit Sunday after the Western Observation.
