Sabah Governor's Birthday

Sabah Governor's Birthday is a public holiday in the state of Sabah, Malaysia, and it is observed on the first Saturday of October.

Juhar Mahiruddin is the current and the 10^th Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Sabah. He was born on November 5, 1953, and was sworn in first on January 1, 2011.

The state of Sabah and 3 other states (Malacca, Penang, and Sarawak) are not constitutional monarchies and they are ruled by governors. The governors are appointed by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia, and many of them are reappointed after the first term.
