Mother's day is a public holiday in Georgia, and it is observed on March 3 each year.

Mothers' Day is a holiday in honour of motherhood. People celebrate Mothers' Day in different forms and on different days around the world. The original celebration can trackback to the ancient Greeks and Romans, while the modern Mother's Day celebrations started from the United States in the early 20th century. Anna Jarvis, the founder of Mother's Day in the United States, celebrated the first Mother's Day in 1907.

Mother's Day in Georgia was established by the first President of Zviad Gamsakhurdia, and it was officially approved by the Supreme Council in 1991. Like in many other countries, Mother's Day is a chance for children to tell mom how much they love her in many different ways such as flowers, cards and gifts.
