International Women's Day

International Women's Day is a global celebration of women's rights, celebrated on March 8 each year.

International Women's Day is one of the most important days to recognize women's achievements and raise awareness about women's equality.

International Women's Day can date back to the social movements demanding equality and voting rights for women. International Women's Day became official on March 19, 1911. however, International Women's Day was held in different countries.

In 1914, Germany first held International Women's Day on March 8. Following the February Revolution in 1917, International Women's Day became a national holiday celebrated on March 8 in Russia, then celebrated in other communist countries.

In 1977, the United Nations made International Women's Day a global celebration.
