Mooncakes are the traditional food during the festival, and they are offered by friends or served at family gatherings while celebrating the festival. The holiday falls on September 18, 2024.
PRC National Day
PRC National Day, observed on October 1 and 2, 2024, commemorates the formal establishment of the People's Republic of China on October 1, 1949.
Chung Yeung Festival
It is observed in the Chinese calendar on the 9th day of the 9th lunar month. Climbing high mountains, drinking chrysanthemum liquor, and wearing the Cornus officinalis are traditional things people normally do during the festival. People believe that climbing mountains will bring them good lucks. It falls on October 11, 2024.
