All Souls' Day, also known as the Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed and the Day of the Dead, is a day of prayer and remembrance for the souls of those who have died, and it is observed on November 2 in many western churches each year.
During the All Souls' Day, many people prepare meals for the souls of the dead, light candles, visit the cemeteries to clean and repair the tombs; and in some cultures, people will leave food and dessert on the table for the souls during the night.
