International Children's Day was first proclaimed in 1925 during the World Conference on Child Welfare. In 1949, Children's Day was celebrated on June 1 in Russia. Since then, most Communist countries celebrate Children's Day on June 1 yearly.
In 1954, Children's Day was first established as the universal Children's Day, and it is celebrated on November 20 to improve children's welfare.
