Epiphany, also called Three Kings' Day, is an important religious festival celebrated by the Christians, and it is celebrated on January 6 of the calendar that the Churches use. However, some Eastern churches use the Julian calendar, and January 6 of the Julian calendar corresponds to January 19 in the Gregorian calendar.
For Western Christians, the feast celebrates the visit of the three kings, also known as the Magi or the Wise Men, while for Eastern Christians, Epiphany commemorates the baptism of Jesus in the Jordan River.
Epiphany is celebrated in many different ways in different communities worldwide. In Western Christianity, the celebration often involves gift-giving, delivered by the three kings, while in Eastern Christianity, the celebration often involves water, baptismal rites, and house blessings.
