Bonaire is one of the overseas special municipalities of the Netherlands in the Caribbean Sea, and it is one of the three islands of Bonaire, Sint Eustatius, and Saba, known as the Caribbean Netherlands.
The Caribbean Netherlands does not have a flag for the three islands, and they use the flag of the Netherlands. However, each island also has its flag. The flag of Bonaire was adopted in 1981.
The flag has a blue triangle in the right bottom corner and a yellow triangle in the top left corner. The two triangles are divided by a white stripe with a black compass and a red six-pointed star.
