How to Reserve a Static IP Address on Google Cloud Platform

A static IP address is a fixed external IP address on Google Cloud Platform that only your project can use it, and it will not change after reserving it. Please see below for details:

Step 1: Login the Google Cloud Platform and click the menu icon on the left-top corner in the dashboard;

Step 2: Click "VPC network" from the left navigation menu, and then click "External IP addresses";

Step 3: Click "Ephemeral" under the IP address type;

Please note that the external address here is the IP address when you create the cloud DNS zone on Google Cloud Platform.

Step 4: Select "Static" from the drop-down list;

Step 5: In the new window, type the name in the first box and click "Reserve";

Step 6: The IP address is now static.
