Reformation Day is a religious holiday celebrated by Protestant Christians, and it is observed on October 31 each year, the same day as Halloween.
Reformation Day commemorates when German monk Martin Luther nailed his Ninety-five Theses, a list of propositions against the Catholic Church for excesses and corruption, on the door of the All Saints' Church in Wittenberg on October 31, 1517.
The Ninety-five Theses were written in Latin and were translated into other languages circling widely in Western Europe. It led to debates about what it meant to be a true Christian, and because of this, many historians considered it the start of the lengthy process of the Reformation.
