Patriot's Day, or Patriots' Day, is a public holiday in the states of Maine and Massachusetts, United States, and it falls on the third Monday in April each year.
Patriot's Day commemorates the Battles of Lexington and Concord on April 19, 1775, which is the first military engagement during the American Revolutionary War and is marked as the outbreak of armed conflict between the Kingdom of Great Britain and the thirteen American colonies.
