Election Day in the United States is a holiday for the general elections, and it is observed on Tuesday after the first Monday in November each year.

Election Day is observed on even years in the states: Delaware, Hawaii, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Montana, and Rhode Island, while it is observed annually in the states: New Jersey, New York, and Virginia.
