Step 1: Login the Google Cloud Platform and click the menu icon on the left-top corner in the dashboard;
Step 2: Click "Compute Engine" from the left menu, and select "VM instances" from the list;
Step 3: Select the proper VM instance and click the "STOP" button from the top of the page;
Step 4: Click on the project name when the green check mark in front of the project grey out;
Step 5: Click the "Edit" button from the top of the page;
Step 6: Select the new machine type from the drop-down list, and click the "Save" button at the bottom of the page;
Step 7: When finish all these changes, click "Start" to start the VM machines again.
