How to Wrap Text In Google Sheets

When the length of the content in a cell is longer than the width of the cell, you may need to wrap the contents so that you can display all the contents. This is the same as the Excel spreadsheet.

Step 1: Open the spreadsheet and select the cell or date range you want to wrap. In this example, we use one cell for practice, but it works in the same way when you have multiple cells;

Step 2: Click the "Text wrapping" command, and select one of the wrapping 3 options;

Step 3: When you select the "Wrap" command, the contents will become multiple lines in the cell;

Step 4: Most time the cell or column height will adjust automatically to display the whole contents, but the height may not change if you already set up the height earlier. You can manually adjust by double-clicking the row herders when the cursor turns into a double arrow;

Step 5: You will find all the contents will display in the cell.

Step 6: Google Sheets also have the "Clip" option when you click the "Wrap" command and then the "Clip" option. The "Clip" option will display one-row content but with the cell width.
