Carnival Tuesday, also known as Shrove Tuesday, Fat Tuesday, or Mardi Gras, is a Christian holiday observed in many countries, and it falls on the day before Ash Wednesday or 47 days before Easter Sunday.
Carnival Tuesday is the last day before Lenten fasting from Ash Wednesday, so people will use the fat ingredients to prepare for the fasting. Pancake with mixed eggs, milk, and flour is the most common food on Shrove Tuesday.
The Lenten fasting in the Christian churches lasts 40 days, from Ash Wednesday to Easter Sunday, excluding Sunday, commemorating the 40 days Jesus spent fasting in the desert.
