Sajibu Nongma Panba, or Meetei Cheiraoba, is a regional holiday in the state of Manipur, India, and it is observed on the first day of the Month of Sajibu, which is the first month of the year.
Sajibu Nongma Panba celebrates the fist day of the lunar new year by Meitei people in the state of Manipur. The festival is followed with a series of rituals, and believed things happened on this day will also happen in the rest of the year.
The same day is celebrated as Ugadi in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Telangana states.
