How to Insert a New Section in Word

When working with a word file, you may need to insert a new section to break the contents into parts. For example, to setup one page horizontal orientation but leave other pages in the portrait orientation.

Step 1: Move the cursor to the place and click the "Layout" tab from the ribbon;

Step 2: Click "Breaks" and select "Next Page" from the drop-down list. All the contents after the cursor will push to a new page. You actually have 4 options:

1. Select "Next Page" to start the new section on the next page;

2. Select "Continuous" to start the new section on the same page;

3. Select "Even Page" to start the new section on the next even-numbered page;

4. Select "Odd Page" to start the new section on the next odd-numbered page.
