How to Filter a Data Range to Have Values Equals to a Number

Please follow the steps below to filter a data range to have values that are equal to a number, or check here to filter a data range to have values that do not equal to a number.

Step 1: Select the row to filter on, normally the top row;

Step 2: Click the "Home" tab from the ribbon;

Step 3: Click "Sort & Filter" and select "Filter" from the drop-down list;

Step 4: You will find that the small triangles are added to the selected row;

Step 5: Click the small triangle in a column (e.g., column C – Salary) and select the number you want to filter from the list.

If the list is long and not easy to quickly find the number, click "Number Filters" above the list, select "Equals";

In the "Custom AutoFilter" window, type or paste the number and click "OK" at the bottom.
