How to Filter a Data Range to Have Values do not Equal to a Number

Please follow the steps below to filter a data range to have values do not equal to a number, or to check here to filter a data range to have values that equal to a number.

Step 1: Select the row you want to filter on, normally the top header row;

Step 2: Click the "Home" tab from the ribbon;

Step 3: Click "Sort & Filter" and select "Filter" from the drop-down list;

Step 4: You will find the small triangles are added to the selected row;

Step 5: Click the small triangle in a column (e.g., column D – Salary) and select all the numbers other than the number you do not want them to show up.

If the list is long and not easy to quickly find the number, please click "Number Filters" above the list, select "Does Not Equal";

In the "Custom AutoFilter" window, type or paste the number and click "OK" at the bottom.
