You can format a date in many different ways. The short date format is "yyyy-mm-dd" and is commonly used in the date formatting. For example, 2018-03-05 is the short date format. Please follow the steps below to change a date to short date format:
Step 1. Select the cells with dates;
Step 2: Click the "Home" Tab from the Ribbon;
Step 3: Click the format box in the "Number" section;
Step 4: Click "Short Date" from the drop-down list;
Step 5: All selected dates will change to the Short Date.
