Constitution Day (Denmark)

Constitution Day is not an official holiday in Denmark, but it is a day that many workplaces give their employees half a day or the whole day off, and it is observed on June 5 each year.

Constitution Day celebrates the first Danish Constitution, which was signed on June 5, 1849, and the current Danish Constitution which was signed on June 5, 1953.

There is no national day celebrated in Denmark, and Constitution Day is considered as the closest equivalence to an actual national day.
