Shab e Miraj, also known as Shab-i-Miraj or Isra and Mira, or Prophet Ascension, is a festival celebrated by Muslims worldwide. It is observed on the 27th day of Rajab, the 7th month of the Islamic Calendar.
Shab e Miraj celebrates the night Prophet Muhammad was carried to the Heavens. The traditions and celebrations vary in different Islamic communities, but many Muslims will attend prayer services and sermons at Islamic centers or mosques.
