Rath Yatra, also Ratha Yathra, is a restricted holiday in India, and it is observed on the second day in the bright fortnight of Ashadha month in the Hindu calendar, which is the month of June or July in the Gregorian calendar.
Rath Yatra is an important festival held at Puri in the state of Odisha. The festival commemorates Jagannath's annual visit to Gundicha Temple, a Hindu temple in the temple town of Puri.
