How to Paste Transposed in Google Sheets

Paste transpose is very common and is one of the paste specials. It will turn the direction of the content from horizontal to vertical or vice versa.

Step 1: In the Google Sheet, select the contents you want to paste transposed;

Step 2: Copy the contents using the shortcut "Ctrl+C", or right-click and select "Copy" from the dialogue box;

Step 3: Move the cursor to the new location where you want to paste, e.g., G1;

Step 4: Right-click and select "Paste Special" from the dialogue box. From the "Paste Special" drop-down list, select "Paste Transposed";

Step 5: The contents are now in a new location with a new direction.

Alternatively, you can get the "Paste Transposed" command in the "Edit" tab from the ribbon.
