It happens once a while that you closed your working word document by accident without saving it, and you need to reopen your work after. Microsoft Word (or Excel, PowerPoint) automatically saves your files every 10 minutes and keep them for seven days even you did not save them. You can open your unsaved files (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) within seven days with the following steps:
Step 1: With any document open, or a word blank word file newly open, click the "File" tab;
Step 2: In the backstage view, click "Info" from the left menu, then click "Manage Versions";
Step 3: From the drop-down list, click "Recover Unsaved Documents";
Step 4: You will find a list of auto-saved files in the new dialog box;
Step 5: Double click the unsaved file you want to open and save the file.
