Labour Day (China)

Labour Day in China is a national holiday observed on May 1 each year.

Labour Day is a holiday to celebrate the achievements of workers. Labour Day originates from the eight-hour day movement, which is eight hours for work, eight hours for recreation, and eight hours for rest.

In China, the holiday lasts 5 days, from May 1 to May 5. If weekends fall on these days, the near weekends will be borrowed as working days.

Schools and government departments are closed. The following is the list of Labour Day from 2021 to 2025.
