How to Highlight Cells that are Less than a Value

Using conditional formatting, you can quickly highlight the numbers that are less than a value. Please follow the steps below:

Step 1: Select the data range;

Step 2: Click the "Home" tab from the Ribbon;

Step 3: Click the "Conditional Formatting" command in the "Styles" section;

Step 4: Click the "Highlight Cells Rules" command from the drop-down list, then select "Less Than" from the extended list;

Step 5: Enter the number that is less than, e.g., $76,843.00, and format the font and cell color;

Step 6: Click "OK" at the bottom and the numbers that are less than "$76,843.00" will be in a different color.
