Using conditional formatting, you can quickly highlight the numbers that are greater than a value. Please follow the steps below:
Step 1: Select the data range;
Step 2: Click the "Home" tab from the Ribbon;
Step 3: Click the "Conditional Formatting" command in the "Styles" section;
Step 4: Click the "Highlight Cells Rules" command from the drop-down list, then select "Greater Than" from the extended list;
Step 5: Enter the number that is greater than, e.g., $76,843.00, and format the font and cell color;
Step 6: Click "OK" at the bottom and the numbers that are greater than will be in a different color.
When I used this example, the blank cells in the column are being formatted the same as the Greater than criteria. Cells with Values less than the criteria are formatting correctly.
How do you get the blank cells to understand the value of blank is less than an amount.
