– How to Change Numbers to Percentage
While working with Excel, some formatting might turn regular numbers to percentages, if you want to change these percentages to numbers, please follow the steps below:
Step 1: Select the cells with percentages;
Step 2: Click the "Home" Tab from Ribbon;
Step 3: Click "Number" from the drop-down list.
Alternatively, please use the method below to change percentages to numbers.
Step 1: Select cells or the range with percentage, and right click;
Step 2: From the list, click "Format Cells";
Step 3: In the "Format Cells" window, click "Number" from the left navigation;
Step 4: Click "OK" at the bottom.
I have tried this but when I select number under format cells the example listed is in a percentage so it does not change anything.
If numbers, it should work, sometimes the percentages or numbers are in the "text" format, although look like percentage or number, and it will not work for the case. Do you mind send me a couple of examples to take a look? Thank you!
