National Day Taiwan

National Day in Taiwan, officially called the National Day of the Republic of China (ROC) and commonly known as Double Ten Day (雙十節), is celebrated every year. It commemorates the start of the Wuchang Uprising in 1911, which marked the beginning of the Xinhai Revolution that overthrew the Qing Dynasty and led to the founding of the Republic of China—the first democratic republic in Asia.
