Hung Kings Commemoration
The Hùng Kings' Festival, observed on April 29, 2023, is held annually from the 8th to the 11th day of the third lunar month in honor of the Hùng Kings, the traditional founders and first kings of the nation.

Reunification Day
Reunification Day, observed on April 30, 2023, marks when North Vietnamese and Viet Cong forces captured Saigon on April 30, 1975. Saigon is the previous name of Ho Chi Minh City, the largest city in Vietnam. The Fall of Saigon marked the end of the Vietnam War and the start of the transition period toward reunification.

International Labor Day
International Labour Day is observed on May 1, 2023, and it celebrates the achievements of workers. The holiday originates in the eight-hour day movement, which is eight hours for work, eight hours for recreation, and eight hours for rest.

National Day
National Day, observed on September 1 and 2, 2023, commemorates when President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of independence of Vietnam at Ba Đình Square in Hanoi on September 2, 1945. He declared Vietnam's independence from France's and Japan's occupation and established the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (DRVN).
