You may get frustrated when you draw a horizontal line in Excel or Word and it is not straight. Actually, Microsoft has a trick for you to draw a straight line in Microsoft products.
Press and hold the key "Shift" when you draw a line, you will get the perfect straight line in Excel or Word. You can draw 3 straight lines: horizontal, vertical and diagonal.
Step 1: Open an Excel file (or any Microsoft product) and move your cursor to any cell;
Step 2: Click the "Insert" tab from the ribbon;
Step 3: Click "Shapes" in the "Illustrations" section (this is Excel 2019 and after, please click "Shapes" directly in the "Illustrations" section if you have an earlier version);
Step 4: Click the "Line" from drop-down shape.
Step 5: Press and hold the "Shift" key and draw a straight horizontal, vertical or diagonal line.
