How to Delete a Watermark in Word

When adding a watermark in the word file, either a text watermark or an image watermark, you may need to delete it after a while. For example, you have the "draft" watermark in the word file, and you will delete it after you make the file as the final. Please see the steps below for details:

Step 1: Click the "Design" tab from the ribbon;

Step 2: Click the "Watermark" command in the "Page Background" section;

Step 3: Select "Remove Watermark" from the drop-down list.

Alternatively, you can use the following method to delete the watermark from a word file.

Step 1: Double click the header of the file and move the cursor in the header;

Step 2: Move the cursor on top of the watermark, and click when the cursor turns into a black cross;

Step 3: Now the watermark is selected. Press the "Delete" key from the keyboard and all the watermarks in the file will be deleted.

If you have an image watermark, you can delete the watermark following the same steps.
