The shortcut Ctrl+Semicolon (;) is one of the formatting shortcuts and it will enter the current date.
Step 1: Click any cell you want to enter the time;
Step 2: Press and hold the Ctrl key, and press the semicolon (;) sign from the keyboard. You will see the current date.
