Bohag Bihu

Bohag Bihu, or Rongali Bihu, is a festival celebrated in the states of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh, India, and it usually falls in the second week of April each year.

Bohag Bihu marks the beginning of the Assamese New Year, the beginning of the harvest season.

Bihu is an important festival, and it is celebrated three times a year. Rongali or Bohag Bihu is observed in April, Kongali or Kati Bihu is observed in October, and Bhogali or Magh Bihu is observed in January.
