Armistice Day (Belgium)

Armistice Day is a public holiday in Belgium, and it is observed on November 11 each year.

Armistice Day commemorates the armistice agreement signed between the Allies and Germany at Compiègne, France, which took effect on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month of 1918.

Armistice Day was celebrated with different names in different countries, such as Remembrance Day in Canada and Veterans Day in the United States. However, France and Belgium still celebrate the holiday with the name "Armistice Day".
