Same as Microsoft Excel, you often need to align the contents in the cells when working with Google Sheets. They have different symbols, but the function is the same.
Step 1: Open the spreadsheet and select the cell or data range you want to format. In this example, we use one cell for practice, but it works in the same way when you have multiple cells;
Step 2: To have right, left or center alignment, you need to click the "Horizontal align" button from the ribbon, and select one of the 3 options;
Step 3: To have top, middle or bottom alignment, you need to click the "Vertical align" button from the ribbon, and select one of the 3 options;
In some situations, you work in the small windows and cannot see these commands, you can always get them from the "Insert" tab in the ribbon.
Step 4: Click the "Format" tab from the ribbon;
Step 5: Click the "Align" command from the drop-down list;
Step 6: Select horizontal or vertical alignment from the extended list.
