Sree Narayana Guru Samadhi marks the birth anniversary of Narayana Guru, who was born on August 28, 1855. He was an Indian social reformer and led a movement fighting against the Hindu caste system and economic inequality. He believed that all people belong to only one caste which is expressed in his famous saying "One caste, one religion, one god for humanity".
