Searching messages from the inbox is very common when using Gmail. There are many ways you can search for a message. If you search one recent message, you can just scan and find it from the list. However, if you search a message a while ago, you may need more criteria.
Step 1: Login your Gmail account (please refer here to open one if you do not have an account yet);
Step 2: For the simple and quick search, type the keywords in the search box on top of the message list, e.g., "excelnotes";
Step 3: If you have more memories about the message such as the attachment, the time, etc. please click the triangle at the end of the search box;
Step 4: In the new window, select the criteria of the message, which will significantly reduce the number of the message list;
Step 5: Click the "Search" button when you fill all the criteria. The search box will display the rules you just setup.
