Pang Lhabsol is a regional holiday in the state of Sikkim, India, and it is celebrated on the 15th day of the 7th month of the Tibetan Lunar Calendar, which is in August or September in the Gregorian calendar.
Pang Lhabsol is one of the important indigenous celebrations in honour of the guardian deity of Sikkim: Khangchendzonga, who is believed to have been protecting Sikkim from the beginning. A series of rituals and monastic dances are held, and the awe-inspiring warrior dance is the most famous one during the festival.
