King's Birthday (Cayman Islands)

King's Birthday is a public holiday in the Cayman Islands and the Turks and Caicos Islands, and it is usually observed on the Monday following the second Saturday in June each year. The holiday is to celebrate the birthday of the monarch. However, the date is the King's official birthday, which may not be the monarch's actual birthday.

The Cayman Islands are a self-governing British Overseas Territory in the western Caribbean Sea. Christopher Columbus discovered the islands in 1503 during his fourth voyage to the Americas. The British formally took control of the Cayman Islands along with the Jamaica Islands in 1670. In 1863, the islands became administered as a dependency of the Crown Colony of Jamaica. In 1962, Jamaica gained its independence from the United Kingdom, and the Cayman Islands became a separate Crown colony.

King's Birthday celebration first started in 1788 marking the birthday of the King of Great Britain, and it was observed on the actual birthday in the beginning and changed to the 2nd Monday in June 1936 after King George V died.

King's Birthday was called Queen's Birthday before 2023. The holiday is an important recognition of the new monarch, King Charles III, who became the King of the United Kingdom and the 14 other Commonwealth realms following the death of his mother, Elizabeth II, on September 8, 2022.

The following is the list of King's Birthday in the Cayman Islands from 2022 to 2026.
