International Children's Day (Romania)

International Children's Day is a holiday observed in many countries, and the date varies in different countries. International Children's Day honors children, promoting international awareness and improving children's welfare.

International Children's Day was first proclaimed in 1925 during the World Conference on Child Welfare. In 1949, Children's Day was celebrated on June 1 in Russia. Since then, most Communist countries have celebrated Children's Day on June 1 yearly.

In 1954, World Children's Day was first established as the universal Children's Day, and it is celebrated on November 20 to improve children's welfare.

International Children's Day is a public holiday in Romania, celebrated on June 1 each year. Children often receive presents from parents or family members during the holiday.
