International Women’s Day in Sierra Leone is both a celebration and a call to action, honoring women’s achievements while raising awareness about ongoing struggles for equality, rights and empowerment.

International Women's Day is a global observance to celebrate women’s achievements and highlight gender equality, women’s rights, and challenges still to be addressed. It is not a national public holiday across all of Germany. However, Berlin and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern have made March 8th an official public holiday in their states.
