Epiphany
Epiphany, also called Three Kings' Day, is an important religious festival celebrating the visit of the three kings. In Western churches, it is celebrated on January 6, 2027.
Easter Monday
Easter Monday celebrates the resurrection of Jesus. The holiday will be observed on March 29, 2027, in Western churches.
Labour Day
Labour Day, observed on May 1, 2027, celebrates the achievements of workers. The holiday originated from the eight-hour day movement, advocating for eight hours of work, eight hours of recreation, and eight hours of rest.
Ascension Day
Also known as the Feast of the Ascension of Jesus Christ, Ascension Day commemorates the Christian belief in the bodily Ascension of Jesus into heaven. In 2027, it will be observed on May 6.
Whit Monday
Whit Monday, also known as Pentecost Monday, is an important religious festival celebrated by Christians. It falls on the day after Pentecost, the 50th day after Easter Sunday. In 2027, the holiday will be observed on May 17.
Corpus Christi
Corpus Christi celebrates the real presence of the body and blood, soul, and divinity of Jesus Christ in the elements of the Eucharist. In 2027, it will be observed on May 27.
Assumption of Mary
Assumption Day commemorates the bodily taking up of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the mother of Jesus, into Heaven. The holiday will be observed on August 15, 2027.
National Day
National Day is a public holiday in Austria, observed on October 26 each year. The holiday commemorates the anniversary of the constitutional law on permanent neutrality, which came into force on October 26, 1955.
All Saints' Day
All Saints' Day, observed on November 1, 2027, commemorates all the saints from Christian history, both known and unknown.
Immaculate Conception Day
The holiday, observed on December 8, 2027, celebrates the belief that the Virgin Mary was free from original sin from the moment of her conception.
Christmas Day
Christmas Day, celebrated on December 25, commemorates the birth of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. It is a holiday of sharing, during which people exchange gifts and cards with family and friends.
St. Stephen's Day
