Feast of St. Francis Xavier marks the feast day of Francis Xavier, who was born on April 7, 1506, and died on December 3, 1552, at age of 46. He was a Spanish Catholic missionary and saint and the co-founder of the Society of Jesus. He devoted much of his life to missionary work in Asian countries including India, Japan, China, Malacca and Indonesia. He was considered one of the greatest missionaries since Paul the Apostle.
